MARCH 2014 - OUR JOURNEY BEGINS!!

03/02/2014  Just out Jeepin' - Decided to checkout a new subdivision($150K Max FIRM!!)
03/03/2014  After an intense debate over a vaulted ceiling vs. functunality and kitchens, we decided on the Venice!!
03/06/2014  Signed contract with Ryan Homes for the Venice(Way more than $150K!!)
03/10/2014  Meeting with NVR to begin loan application process(Long and aggravating application process I might add!)
03/11/2014  Experienced some immediate 'contract remorse'
03/14/2014  Met with Sales Area Manager(He was nice but typical salesman for sure!)
03/14/2014  Rug Rite - Flooring selections
03/18/2014  Experienced SEVERE 'contract remorse' and decided to CANCEL(Yes you read that correctly!)
03/22/2014  Maybe switch to Florence?
03/23/2014  Maybe switch to a new subdivision?(Maybe too many excuses, I know!)
03/28/2014  Cancellation Meeting(But thrown some curveballs that we just couldn't pass up!)

APRIL 2014

04/02/2014  Signed the change orders and decided to stay in Venice!
04/08/2014  Ernest money turned in
04/10/2014  Guardian - Discuss phone/cable and surround sound pre-wiring
04/21/2014  Pre-Construction Meeting - FINALLY!
04/23/2014  Approved by NVR Mortgage(Did I mention I will NEVER use them again!?!)
04/28/2014  Lot Cleared!(Remind me to clear past 20 foot in the back, my temporary view will be SC Pines!)

MAY 2014

05/01/2014  Footers poured
05/14/2014  First stage plumbing
05/16/2014  Wood arrives onsite
05/19/2014  First stage plumbing complete & dirt leveled to pour slab
05/22/2014  Final slab poured
05/24/2014  First level begin framing
05/27/2014  Second level begin framing
05/30/2014  Locked rate with NVR

JUNE 2014

06/02/2014  Second stage heated plumbing
06/03/2014  Windows and doors installed also Guardian pre-wiring meeting
06/05/2014  Shingles Installed
06/06/2014  Pre-Drywall Meeting - insulation install
06/07/2014  Tubs Installed in spare bath and master bath and insulation complete
06/16/2014  Drywall begins
06/17/2014  Drywall installed
06/20/2014  Drywall taped, mudded and sanding down
06/23/2014  Driveway poured
06/24/2014  Kitchen cabinets installed
06/25/2014  Master bath tile surround installed, baseboards, siding started
06/27/2014  Siding complete, shutter installed, first coat of paint

JULY 2014

07/01/2014  Countertops installed, lights, AC unit, vinyl flooring, outlets
07/02/2014  Hardwood foyer, bathroom vanities
07/03/2014  Carpet installed
07/08/2014  Faucets, toilets, pedestal sink, master bath glass shower, garage door, deck, landscaping(we have cute little bushes and a tree too! :) )
07/10/2014  Sent final proofs & documents to NVR to submit for FINAL approval(It's not over yet!)
07/11/2014  Shelves installed in closets and pantry
07/12/2014  Started drywall repair and preparation for settlement
07/14/2014  Appliances arrived
07/15/2014  Blinds and back screen door installed
07/16/2014  Final touchups
07/21/2014  Pre-settlement Meeting
07/22/2014  Installed cabinet hardware, repainted front door, finished flowerbed around fire hydrant
07/23/2014  Closing!!!!
